Summer begins!

Isaac was playing in the grass, and right now we have a lot of clover, he found a bee crawling on a blossom. I don't know what sparked the thought for him to touch or pick up this bee, but he did. It was just crawling in his hand and he kept trying to get my attention saying, "Mom look a bee is on me!" I said," just be still it will fly away" not knowing that he picked it up off the ground. But it wouldn't fly away. And he even dropped it and picked it back up. No stinging! I looked at it closely and it was a complete bee with no stinger. He called it his Bee friend! Isabel became interested in trying to hold it, since it seemed that brother could do it, she could. They passed it back and forth, and I held it also! It was neat to be this close to nature with no PAIN involved! I guess this is one of those bees from the colony that has a purpose without needing the stinger. We put it back on a clover flower and set it free! I just hope Izzy and Isaac don't think they can pick up all bees! I tried to explain this to Isabel, 2 yrso., not sure how much was understood. I guess time will tell.

Mmmmm! Breakfast! Isabel looks so relaxed while sipping her milk from the Cheerios.

I love this snapshot of her little hands picking up the tiny, yummy, circles...even though she did have a spoon!

This butterfly kept landing on the kids one afternoon! Isaac was so curious and happy as to why it would do this!

Last week we had a playdate at our nearby Kid's Park! There were alot of our friends there! The sand box looked more like a kiddie pool, there were red, sweatie faces and the tugs on Mommies' shirts followed by a tiny voice saying "swing me, I wanna swing...pleeease Mommy!" We plan to do this once a week! I look forward to the children being occupied by their friends as well as getting to be with other Moms for myself to socialize with! Yay! for playdates for Moms and kids!

So we don't have a pool, nor have we been to one yet either. We didn't even have a sprinkler since the one that got run over last summer. And the kids have been clear on reminding me of this each day( 1 week into summer vacation)! So we pulled out the slip-n-slide! Any type of water action was fine to these kiddos and their friends that were visiting this day!

Here is Isaac and his cousin and friend drying out after the water fun!
